This park is operated by the Township Park Commission, and charges a nominal fee for campsites. Discounts are available for longer stays. Located on the Buttersville Peninsula along the Lake Michigan coastline, Buttersville Park remains open to foot traffic all year. The vehicle gate is usually closed the first part of November or at the time of the first snowfall. Please note that only the shelter building can be reserved; campsites are available on a first-come-first-served basis -- NO CAMPSITE RESERVATIONS ARE ACCEPTED. The Buttersville Park Campground officially re-opens in mid-May each year. The 2007 rates are posted below. Guests are asked to remember that only the shelter building can be reserved; campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis; no campsite reservations are accepted.

2007 Rates
Daily -- $21. per day
Weekly -- $140. per week
Monthly -- $600. per 30-day month
The above rates are based on 2 adults, and children under 16 years of age. Extra adults per site will be charged an additional $3.00 per person. Sorry, no more than four (4) adults allowed per site. Please note that only the shelter building can be reserved; campsites are only available on a first-come-first-served basis. Campers sometimes send someone before the weekend to set up and pay for the campsites they want, and then keep them through the weekend. Yes, the regular rate applies for the extra days, but you'll be assured of having the space you want. Please feel free to call the campground at 231/843-2114 if you want to know how full the campground is, or to find out if they expect a busy weekend due to local events.
There is a limit of two vehicles per site, unless otherwise approved by the management.
