This park is operated by the Township Park Commission, and charges a nominal fee for campsites. Discounts are available for longer stays. Located on the Buttersville Peninsula along the Lake Michigan coastline, Buttersville Park remains open to foot traffic all year. The vehicle gate is usually closed the first part of November or at the time of the first snowfall.  At that time, the park is no longer staffed until the following spring.

Please note that campsites are available on a  first-come-first-served basis, during the regular season -- NO CAMPSITE RESERVATIONS ARE ACCEPTED.  For other information about the park,  please call the campground at 231.843.2114, or the Township Office at 231.845.1277.
